Contact lenses are medical devices and the proper fit must be carefully determined by an eye care professional. A comprehensive eye exam and in some cases, evaluation of your corneal topography will be performed to determine the appropriate lens type and parameters. For first time contact lens patients, this is a process that may take several appointments to obtain optimal results. For existing contact lens patients, periodic annual contact lens evaluations and dilated eye exams are required to renew existing contact lens prescriptions.
